火箭本季首度在主場迎戰太陽隊時，林書豪與帕森斯因傷缺陣，以9分落敗，台灣時間今早9點於主場再度面對太陽，2名大將歸隊，尤其林書豪近況極佳，還在周日對騎士一戰繳出生涯首次大三元表現，兩隊此番交手，火箭有望討回顏面。

火箭近期拉出一波3連勝，戰績穩坐西區第5，林書豪的火熱表現是最大關鍵，他最近3場平均拿下17分、8.3助攻與7籃板，他說：「試著讓自己更放鬆，走上場不去擔心一些小事，盡可能打得更自然、輕鬆一些。」

林書豪強調，自己的球風偏向「高風險、高回饋」，在場上偶有錯誤，若能放開心胸，就會越打越好，「只要我更有信心，就不會擔心在場上會犯錯。」

有了林書豪的穩定表現，加上33歲老將賈西亞復出，總教練麥克海爾打算減少主力球員哈登與帕森斯的上場時間，兩人迄今平均出賽時間為38.5分鐘與37.9分鐘，都名列全聯盟前5名，麥總強調若能讓兩人的上場時間少於36分鐘，球隊打來會更具靈活性。

火箭再度面對太陽，儘管林書豪與帕森斯歸隊助陣，而對手也少了全隊得分次多的布雷索，看似「敵消我長」，但《休士頓紀事報》專欄作家費根提醒，哈登上次遭太陽塔克嚴密防守，全場投17只中3、三分球更是10投盡墨，再度交手必須尋求突破。

「太陽是支有天份的球隊，很多球員能得分，也在競爭季後賽門票，我們必須在主場拿下這一勝。」帕森斯強調，兩隊上次交手，火箭並非完整陣容，大家都沒忘記前場落敗，將全力求勝。
