手機改IMEI是否還有保固

我撿到一隻手機

想自己使用

知道手機有手機身分證 IMEI碼

請問若改了手機IMEI碼~是否就不會被查到???聽手機店的人說~不用改IMEI碼刷機格式化後就沒有問題~是真的嗎??
(以確定這支手機可以更改IMEI碼)

那改了之後手機維修是否可以維修(保固內)?
還是送修時~會被查到原本的IMEI嗎???
