【施旖婕／綜合外電報導】東南亞國家有一些華僑信仰「九皇大帝」，他們相信如果得倒九皇大帝的協助，甚至是附身，就能不怕刀劍，穿刺自己的口部和舌部也不覺得痛。

根據日本《Rocket News 24》報導，這些東南亞華僑多半在10月上旬舉辦九皇大帝的祭典，許多乩童會化身為神的使者，將長刀長劍穿刺口部和舌部。許多外國觀光客看到之後，都感到不可思議，但對當地人而言，這是虔誠信仰的象徵之一。
