如果本季開打前，就知道Kobe Bryant會在美國時間12月8日復出，湖人教頭Mike D'Antoni會說什麼？

「我大概會說，怎麼拖那麼久！」D'Antoni不改他的「冷笑話」風格，「說真的，那是個嚴重的傷。看起來Kobe現在狀況好多了，我們也會再觀察，但這確實是個好消息。」

今年4月，Kobe傷了阿基里斯腱，湖人隊跟著痛不欲生。「你們覺得當初的我怎麼想？」D'Antoni說，「我想，天啊！真的不想看到這一幕。不希望Kobe、湖人隊碰到這樣的事情。上季我們表現不好，他那麼賣命，帶我們晉級季後賽，做到之後，他卻受傷倒下去，這樣的事情實在難受。」

經過7個多月治療，Kobe要回來了。部分球界人士悲觀預測，飛俠身手恐怕大不如前，但D'Antoni仍有高度信心。

「Kobe會主宰一切的，」D'Antoni說，「他打法變化多端，遠投近切都沒問題。他會找到最有效率的方式，盡力發揮。」

教頭當然熱切期盼Kobe復出，但對於那些，恐怕因此失去舞台的球員來說，也這麼希望Kobe回來嗎？

起碼，他們表面上也是這麼說的。「聽到Kobe要回來，這對每個人來說，都是正面消息，」Jodie Meeks說，「我們想贏得這一戰！禮拜天那場球並不好打，但他回來，帶給我們無比信心。」Meeks的先發地位，可能得還給Kobe。

Xavier Henry也是「Kobe不在家」的獲利者，從受邀參加訓練營，現在已經佔有一席之地。「我從沒去推測Kobe什麼時候會回來，但很高興就在這個禮拜天，」Henry說。
