全國最高橋墩　霧台谷川大橋5日將通車

【李姿慧／台北報導】全國最高橋墩、高99公尺，宛如一條巨龍飛躍屏東原鄉的台24線霧台谷川大橋本月5日將通車，施工團隊日以繼夜上下攀爬相當高雄市區長谷世貿大樓的高度進行高空作業，創下全程1023天零工安的紀錄。

台24線霧台谷川大橋原名第一號橋，是進入屏東縣霧台鄉谷川部落的門戶，2009年8月8日莫拉克颱風期間遭洪流夾帶大量土石沖毀埋沒，霧台對外交通中斷、形成孤島，公路總局先採取臨時鋼便橋維持通行，並進行長期復建、重建新橋，霧台谷川大橋2010年底動工，今年9月完工，新橋全長654公尺，寬度10公尺，雙向單車道配置。河中僅落1墩，墩柱從基礎至橋面高達99公尺，為全國最高橋墩。
