繼中秋節提出「假放太多」、「烤肉是最愚蠢的過節方式」引起網路熱論，甚至被封「掃興王」，前副總統呂秀蓮今天中午在臉書對目前正紅的「黃色小鴨」提出疑慮，她說小鴨是由厚PVC塑膠布打造，而「PVC含有大量塑化劑和鉛鎘等重金屬，極易引起生殖異常、神經失調，和智能低落，生產過程中常產生致癌毒物的污染。」另外小鴨周邊產品也多由PVC材質製作，孩童買回家後把玩或舔食，恐怕對健康造成不良影響。她呼籲高雄市政府能儘早注意這個問題。

同為民進黨員的陳菊市長尚未回應呂秀蓮，不過陳菊上午在臉書貼出多張天兔颱風後，小鴨重返光榮碼頭的照片，努力推銷高雄觀光。
