法院判威盛應賠美商Opti專利侵權逾300萬美元

電腦中央處理器供應商威盛（2388）今天公告，與美商專利控股公司Opti間的專利侵權訴訟案，法院已判決威盛及美國子公司應賠償超過300萬美元，威盛並決定申請上訴。

威盛的美國子公司VIA Technologies於2010年7月遭到美商Opti在美國德州東區聯邦法院起訴，指控產品侵害其兩件美國專利；Opti並於去年3月針對上述案件對威盛提起訴訟。

由於法院已在本月判決威盛及美國子公司VIA Technologies應賠償美商Opti損害及利息共計308.88萬美元，折合新台幣超過9,000萬元，威盛今日公告這項訴訟結果，且將委請專業律師依程序向原法院申請上訴中，將積極採取法律行動以捍衛公司及股東的權益。
