拜光芒輸球 紅襪封王M3

〔自由時報記者徐正揚／綜合報導〕紅襪最保險的「關主」竟然失手，在主場被金鶯以3：2逆轉，但拜光芒輸球之賜，紅襪封王魔術數字從「M4」減到「M3」，雖然美聯東區冠軍唾手可得，確定不會在今天陳偉殷先發這場。

戴維斯創隊史單季最多轟

紅襪打完4局以2：0領先，金鶯先在5局上破蛋，6局上靠著戴維斯的陽春彈追平，這是他本季第51號，刷新金鶯隊史單季最多全壘打紀錄，原紀錄由安德森創於1996年的50轟，他也是大聯盟史上單季至少50轟、40支二壘安打的第3人，前2位是1921年貝比魯斯、1995年貝爾。

戴維斯說：「我以前就講過，當你打出全壘打但球隊沒贏，你什麼感覺都沒有，我當然很高興，因為這一棒追平比數」。這不過是丹普斯特此役所挨的第3安。

上原浩治吞敗 輸掉紀錄

9局上，紅襪推出終結者上原浩治，他若再讓4位打者出局，就追平後援投手連續解決41位打者的大聯盟紀錄（2007年由白襪終結者簡克斯創下），不料一上場就被瓦倫西亞敲出三壘安打，威特斯用高飛犧牲打送回致勝分，吞下本季首敗的他說：「紀錄中止，我不難過，失望的是球隊輸了。」

金鶯在美聯外卡落後光芒與遊騎兵2場，仍有機會晉級季後賽，今天輪到陳偉殷先發，他不但要拖住紅襪的封王腳步，也要拚本季第8勝，並破除「9月魔咒」，這2年他在9月先發9場，0勝4敗、防禦率5.19。
