台中市首座特色候車亭，就在大甲區文昌祠前，融入了文昌祠設計元素，外型仿紅瓦磚牆，讓民眾候車方便，也有觀光用途；半包覆式的結構設計，更讓等車民眾夏天遮陽、冬天擋風，民眾看了開心不已，也大大提升坐公車的意願；協助爭取的市議員吳敏濟說，希望這樣的特色候車亭可在中市推廣，增加各區觀光特色。
