義大犀牛24日進行雙重戰，午場賽前天氣炎熱，儘管休息室裡有冷氣，但總教練徐生明走進記者室時仍開玩笑說，「突然覺得當記者也很不錯，有冷氣吹。」

中職本周賽事受連日大雨影響，無法如期進行，24日更出現天母與台南兩地都必須打雙重賽的情況，午場比賽在13點05分就開打，球員與教練一早就得到場練球。

賽前，「徐總」時而在休息室內與教練團談話，時而走出休息室觀察場上狀況，並與媒體閒聊。

午場比賽開打前約十分鐘，「徐總」走進記者室隨口說了一句，「太熱了，突然覺得當記者也很不錯，有冷氣吹。」接著找了一個空位坐了下來，還對一旁記者說，「這天氣不是下雨就是大太陽，很傷腦筋。」

「徐總」最後坐了一會兒，一句「上工了！我要上班了！」便離開記者室，一如往常地帶領子弟兵作戰。
