邁阿密警方表示，他們會針對護送熱火球星LeBron James的警察做出懲戒，當時小皇帝欲前往「流行新天王」Justin Timberlake和「嘻哈教父」Jay Z所舉辦的演唱會。

根據《ESPN》報導，這起事件經調查後，一份於美國時間周四發表的聲明指出，他們選擇對當天執行護送任務的警力進行非正式輔導，另外透露不會再有進一步的懲處。

James是在美國當地上周五演唱會前，上傳一段影片至社群媒體上，內容提及他接受警方的護送在街道上「逆向行駛」至會場，警方同時開啟警車的警示燈。

早在美國時間周一，有關當局即對此事做出評論，認為提供「保鑣」服務的那些警察違反規定，因為這不在既定的行程內，況且當天一切安全無虞，沒有護送的必要。
