針對媒體民調顯示超過六成民眾希望馬英九主席與民進黨蘇貞昌主席就服貿協議辯論。國民黨文傳會主委蕭旭岑說，民進黨昨天才回應指馬蘇辯沒必要，蘇主席也不會參與；才過了一個晚上，蘇主席又改口說只怕馬主席不願意辯論，態度「變變變」，到底是誰在害怕讓國人更了解服貿協議真相？　

蕭旭岑表示，因被媒體批評「怯戰」，民進黨馬上改口，到底他們真正的立場是什麼？從民進黨對服貿協議辯論不到24小時就改口，充分凸顯民進黨對服貿協議相關議題沒有中心思想，一直以片面、扭曲的資訊，讓民眾對服貿協議產生疑慮，始終為反對而反對，完全不顧台灣未來發展。
