避撞車 鳥兒可察覺速限

研究今天指出，鳥類能夠察覺到道路的規定速限，而非根據車輛實際速度，來避免撞上行駛中的汽車。

研究人員表示，鳥兒似乎已適應棲地的汽車速限，當作像是獵食者風險等居住環境的特質。加拿大魁北克大學行為生態學家李格紐克斯告訴法新社，嚴格取締汽車超速，有助於大幅提升保育行動，特別是棲息在人口稠密區的瀕臨絕種鳥類。

擔任研究主持人的李格紐克斯接受電話訪問時說：「我發現鳥兒並不是在回應我車子的確實速度，牠們是會因應這些道路的汽車平均速度，也就是標誌上的行車速限。」

他說：「因此嚴格執行速限，有助減少鳥兒撞車事件的發生。」
