大陸自今年(2013年)以來，全國共有22個地區調整最低工資標準，平均增長18.4%。目前，大陸全國月最低工資標準最高的是上海的1620元(以人民幣計價，以下同)，小時最低工資標準最高的是北京和新疆的15.2元。大陸人社部透露了這一消息。
根據京華時報報導，大陸人社部門今年全力保障農民工工資支付，僅上半年全國就補發被拖欠的農民工工資等待遇145.3億元。同期，勞動保障監察機構查處的勞動保障違法案件中，有62.5%的案件涉及工資支付問題，同比增長27.5%。勞動人事爭議仲裁機構立案受理的勞動報酬類案件，佔立案總數的33.6%，同比增長1.6%﹔勞務派遣類案件佔3.3%，同比增長25.4%。
據預測，下半年，大陸經濟發展環境更加錯綜復雜，經濟增長下行壓力進一步增大，部分企業生產經營困難可能加劇。加上調整經濟結構、化解過剩產能等影響，預計部分企業規模裁員、拖欠工資等問題將會增多，職工增加工資的要求與企業加薪能力下降的矛盾更加突出。
隨著大陸城鎮化的推進，農民工數量不斷增長。上半年，全國外出農民工為17111萬人，同比增長2.7%。穩定和擴大農民工的就業，推動農民工享受城鎮基本公共服務，加強農民工綜合服務平台建設，有序推進農業轉移人口市民化，將是農民工工作的重點。
