在電動車界裡，除了名氣響徹半邊天的TESLA Model S與CHEVORLET Volt之外，另一邊與美軍較勁的日系軍團中，NISSAN於2009年發表的第一款量產化電動車Leaf也獲得極高的人氣，在市場中獲得一般消費者的青睞；然而才在2013年9月時才迎來7.5萬輛的規模，沒想到在短短的4個多月就達到10萬輛的銷售數字，比起上一次從2013年2月的5萬輛成長的速度來看是快上了不少，也大致底定了未來汽車的發展趨勢。
