Win XP將停止更新 全球95%ATM資安堪虞

彭博資訊報導，微軟公司（Microsoft）4月8日起將不再支援Windows XP作業系統，代表全球逾95%仍安裝這款作業系統的自動提款機（ATM），將不再定期獲得安全更新，也不再配合產業標準，威脅這些ATM的資安。

許多先進的ATM能透過網路升級到Windows 7作業系統，但較老舊的機型只能個別升級，若運算能力不足以支援新作業系統，更須整台換掉。

顧問業者零售銀行研究公司估計，全球約有300萬台ATM，和全球Windows用戶相較下，是小巫見大巫。ATM軟體供應商KAL公司執行長柯雷拉認為，根據行規，業者可能一季才發布一次會影響機器的軟體更新。

不過，針對安裝整合版Windows XP（Windows XP Embedded ）作業系統的ATM，微軟將延長支援到2016年初，因為這些機器較不容易受病毒威脅。微軟也正在銷售能延長Windows XP壽命的技術支援協議。
