【於慶中／綜合外電報導】一批近日曝光的文獻顯示，上世紀1960年代，美軍曾在台灣、琉球，甚至美國本土，進行生物武器試驗。

根據《法新社》引述日本《共同社》的消息顯示，這份美軍報告是在1965年撰寫，文中稱美軍為研發可摧毀水稻的生物武器，進行一系列實驗，把「稻瘟病菌」(Rice Blast Fungus)撒在稻田中，紀錄這種病菌對水稻的影響，在1961至1962年期間，在琉球至少進行了12次試驗，台灣也曾進行類似實驗。另一份文件指出，美國也曾在本土的中西部及南部，測試生物武器對小麥及水稻的影響。

報導指出，相信美軍研發生物武器的目標，是中國和東南亞地區。但到1969年，美軍決定廢棄所擁有的生物武器，當中包括損害人體健康的病原體。
