休士頓火箭隊28日主場迎戰亞特蘭大老鷹隊，火箭靠著板凳出發的賈西亞(Francisco Garcia)、布魯克斯(Aaron Brooks)聯手攻下42分，以113比84成功捕鷹，不僅老鷹總教頭表示火箭板凳相當有深度，拿下21分的賈西亞也認為，此役打出了不一樣的化學效應。

在哈登(James Harden)連3場缺陣，林書豪也在開賽4分鐘右膝受傷下場的情況下，火箭仍舊擊敗老鷹拿下3連勝，29分勝差也是本季最高。

火箭隊光是板凳就貢獻67分，遠超過老鷹隊的32分，連老鷹總教頭巴登霍澤(Mike Budenholzer)賽後也表示，「對方的板凳的確打得很不一樣。他們的板凳相當有深度，每個上場的人都能得分。」

第3節火箭一度被追近5分差，但火箭反靠著帕森斯(Chandler Parsons)、卡斯比(Omri Casspi)打出一波5比0攻勢，再將比數拉開。

此役三分球6投4中，全場攻下21分、4助攻、2抄截的布魯克斯表示，「第4節我們全力拚戰，因此也將比分拉開。」關鍵決勝節開賽3分鐘，布魯克斯射下2顆三分外加上籃連拿8分，將雙方比分拉開到90比74。

同樣替補上陣的賈西亞也說道，「球隊現在有相當不錯的化學效應」，此役他砍下21分、3助攻、2籃板。另外先發的帕森斯和瓊斯(Terrence Jones)也各有14分的貢獻，霍華德(Dwight Howard)則拿下11分、8籃板。
