樂壇校長譚詠麟早前接受無線節目《StarTalk》訪問，笑稱香港新人難出頭，但指唱片公司也有責任，不應短視及抄襲，並謂：「第一個成功是天才，第二個就是蠢材。」他希望新一代歌手學懂不怕辛苦、不要計較。雖然反對兒子曉風入行，認為對方讀書成績好，應有更好發展，但校長指兒子為其新碟擔任和音。

香港文匯報報導，譚詠麟近日為新專輯出四做宣傳，更少有地大談兒子曉風，自爆兒子為其新碟擔任和音。

此外，校長大讚兒子音樂天分高，兩歲學打鼓，還懂得彈吉他和鋼琴，但他卻反對兒子入行，校長解釋因兒子讀書成績良好，應該有其他更好的發展。
