草總看世青賽 力道才是王道

【賴德剛╱桃園報導】象隊教頭「草總」謝長亨(見圖)很關心世界盃青棒賽，看到美、日小球員展現強力球風後，不禁有所感而發：「你看他們打出去的球飛行速度都很快，這是從小培養出來的觀念，我來兄弟後也希望能讓球隊能朝全力揮擊方式攻擊，而不是碰球。」

謝長亨想起2007年在台灣舉行的世界盃棒球賽，當時他是投手教練，美、日球員只要把球打到外野，台灣野手幾乎很難接得到，這不是腳程慢，而是球力道太強。台灣球員習慣追求擊球點，力道就不如別人。
改造象隊攻擊球風雖非一蹴可幾，但成效已逐漸展現，上半季象隊長打率0.338是4隊最差，但下半季開打至今已提升到0.369，與排行首位義大0.375相去不遠，他說：「有持續跟球員、教練溝通全力揮擊觀念，希望讓他們放手去打。」
