守望敘利亞 教宗發起禁食禱告（法新社梵蒂岡7日電） 羅馬天主教教會呼籲全球在今天為敘利亞和平以及反對任何軍事干預禁食禱告。教宗方濟各也會在梵蒂岡的聖伯多祿廣場（St.Peter's Square）進行守夜彌撒

敘利亞的穆斯林遜尼派領袖、總教法諮詢家哈遜恩（Grand Mufti Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun）也呼籲敘國人加入祈禱；東正教精神領袖君士坦丁堡大公宗主教巴爾多祿茂一世（Constantinople Bartholomew I）也支持梵蒂岡這項活動。

聖方濟各（St. Francis）家鄉、義大利中部的阿西西（Assisi）也將升起巨型和平旗幟。教宗方濟各的聖號，就是取自於聖方濟各。

這場4小時的守夜彌撒將在台北時間凌晨1時開始，全球各地也會有類似活動，舉辦地點包括巴格達、耶路撒冷、孟買、布宜諾斯艾利斯、華盛頓特區以及貝魯特。

這並不是史上有教宗首次為這類事件發起禱告，不過依舊相當罕見。專家表示，這起事件與已故前教宗若望保祿二世（John Paul II）為美國911事件發起的禱告雷同。

教宗方濟各也在推特中寫道：「和平是良善的，能克服一切障礙。」（譯者：中央社蕭倩芸）
