洋基佩提特好投　後援投手卻遭紅襪狂攻9分

【謝岱穎／綜合報導】精彩刺激 的基襪大戰，41歲左投佩提特(Andy Pettitte)先發主投6局只失3分，退場時洋基以8比3領先，但後援投手群卻頂不住紅襪攻勢，在第7、8局竟被攻下9分，終於紅襪以12比8演出大逆轉，在紐約連勝兩場。

紅襪作客洋基4連戰的第一場就激戰到延長10局，紅襪以9比8獲勝，這場比賽仍是火力大戰，佩提特眼看將帶領洋基贏球，但7局上，從先發轉到後援的休斯(Phil Hughes)只解決了1人次卻掉了4分，之後3位投手也無法止血，竟然在兩局內就被攻下9分。
