台鐵撞土石 10年來5次

台鐵南迴線穿越中央山脈，山陡路險、地質不穩，近十年來發生五起火車撞上土石流意外，多次造成列車出軌。去年六月卅小時內接連兩起土石流，台鐵加強邊坡檢測，豈料昨天歷史重演，更造成十七人受傷的嚴重災情。

台鐵指出，南迴線全線長約九十九公里，其中從加祿到金崙約六十公里，都是地質敏感地帶，隧道多達卅七處，潛在風險最高，不僅大雨容易沖刷路基，因應當地特有的落山風，在枋野號誌站還有落山風待避區間。
